Student Services

Student Services works alongside students, families, teachers, and external services to support student wellbeing, engagement, attendance, behaviour, learning, and pathways.

Our role is to help students feel connected, supported, and ready to make the most of their time at Greenwood College. We aim to provide the right support at the right time, while promoting a positive school culture built on our CARE values (Cooperation, Achievement, Respect, and Engagement)

Meet the Student Services team

Program Coordinators

Ms Amy Billingham

Year 10, 11 & 12

  • As the Year 10–12 Program Coordinator, Amy supports students as they navigate the final years of their schooling journey. She works closely with senior students to help them achieve their WACE and explore meaningful pathways beyond school, including university, TAFE, training, and vocational opportunities.

    Amy’s role includes course counselling, pathway planning, attendance support, wellbeing, and positive behaviour support. She is passionate about ensuring students leave Greenwood College with a strong sense of direction, recognised qualifications, and the confidence to take their next steps beyond the classroom.

Year Coordinators

Mr Fil Filidei

Year 7, 8 & 9

  • As the Year 7–9 Program Coordinator, Fil works closely with the Student Services team, teachers, families, and external providers to ensure students receive the right support at the right time. This may include support with learning, wellbeing, behaviour, attendance, or social connection.

    Fil’s focus is on helping students feel supported, respected, and confident to succeed. A key part of this begins during the transition into Year 7, where students are supported to build strong foundations, connect with others, and engage in opportunities that reflect Greenwood College’s CARE values.

Ms Shannon Palmer

Year 7, 9 & 12

Ms Louise Cockman

Year 8, 10 & 11

  • As a Year Coordinator, Shannon supports students with their day-to-day engagement, wellbeing, behaviour, and sense of connection at school. She works closely with students, families, teachers, and the broader Student Services team to help students feel supported and ready to learn.

    Shannon’s role includes monitoring student progress, responding to concerns, supporting positive behaviour, and helping students navigate challenges that may arise throughout the school year. She is committed to building strong relationships with students and encouraging them to make positive choices that reflect Greenwood College’s CARE values.

  • In her role as Year Coordinator, Louise plays a key part in supporting students’ overall school experience, including their engagement, wellbeing, behaviour, and sense of belonging. She collaborates closely with families, teachers, and the Student Services team to ensure each student is well supported and able to succeed.

    Louise addresses any concerns as they arise, and promotes positive behaviour across the year group. She also guides students through challenges, helping them build resilience and make positive choices aligned with Greenwood College’s CARE values.

Student Support Officer

Ms Amy Barry

Learning Support Coordinator

  • As the Learning Support Coordinator, Amy works with students, families, teachers, and external providers to support students with additional learning needs. Her role includes helping to identify appropriate adjustments, coordinating learning support processes, and supporting the development and review of documented plans.

    Amy liaises with families about student learning needs and works with staff to ensure students are supported in a consistent and practical way across their classes. She also assists with processes related to disability resourcing and funding, where eligible, to help ensure students can access appropriate support at school. Amy is committed to helping students feel included, understood, and able to participate successfully in their learning.

Ms Great Dalton

  • As a Student Support Officer, Greta supports students across a range of wellbeing, engagement, and day-to-day school matters. She works alongside students, families, staff, and the Student Services team to help students feel connected and supported at school.

    Greta’s role includes providing check-ins, helping students manage challenges, supporting positive behaviour, and assisting with practical strategies that help students remain engaged in their learning. She is passionate about building positive relationships with students and helping them develop confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of belonging within the school community.

Mr Darcy Dignam

Student Wellbeing Officer

Ms Christine Mawkes

Workplace Coordinator / VET Support Officer

  • As Student Wellbeing Officer, Darcy supports the social, emotional, and mental wellbeing of students across the school. He provides a safe and welcoming space where students can talk openly about what is on their mind, including school stress, friendships, family challenges, or simply needing someone to listen.

    Darcy works closely with staff, families, and external support services to help students access appropriate support. A key part of his role is helping students build resilience, develop positive coping strategies, and feel more confident managing everyday challenges. He is also involved in whole-school wellbeing initiatives that support a positive and inclusive school environment.

  • Christine coordinates workplace learning opportunities and supports students who wish to undertake certificate courses as part of their schooling pathway.

    Her role helps connect students with real-world work placements and training opportunities, allowing them to explore career pathways and develop valuable employability skills. Christine finds it especially rewarding to see students build confidence, grow in independence, and apply their learning in meaningful workplace and study environments.

Ms Tash Squiers

Attendance Officer

  • Tash has been part of the Greenwood College community for seven years and enjoys working in Student Services, where she builds positive connections with students and families.

    Her role focuses on monitoring and analysing student attendance, working closely with parents, students, and the Student Services team to identify when a student may be finding regular attendance challenging. Tash helps explore possible causes and supportive solutions, with the shared goal of helping every student stay connected to school and achieve positive outcomes.

Ms Michelle Langford

Student Services Reception

  • Michelle has been part of the Greenwood College community for 12 years and enjoys working in Student Services, where she has the opportunity to support students and families each day.

    Michelle’s role includes managing daily attendance processes, including students who arrive late, need to leave early, or become unwell during the school day. She also administers student medication and supports first aid requirements. Michelle is often the first point of contact for families and is happy to assist parents and carers with the Department of Education Compass app.

Ms Karen Kerlin

Career Practitioner

  • As the Careers Practitioner, Karen supports students to explore the exciting and ever-changing world of work. Her role includes helping students build awareness of different industries, develop employability skills, and understand the range of pathways available beyond school.

    Karen supports students through opportunities such as excursions, guest speakers, special events, and access to targeted career resources. She also helps students develop practical skills such as resume writing and encourages ongoing self-reflection so they can better understand their strengths, interests, and goals as they plan their future.

Ms Amy Ventham

Student Support Officer

  • As a Student Support Officer, Amy works closely with students, families, teachers, and the broader Student Services team to support student wellbeing, engagement, and connection to school.

    Amy provides practical and pastoral support to students who may be experiencing challenges with friendships, emotions, attendance, behaviour, or day-to-day school life. Her role includes checking in with students, helping them work through problems, supporting positive choices, and linking them with the right people or services when needed. Amy is committed to helping students feel safe, heard, and supported at Greenwood College.

The Wellbeing Centre

The Wellbeing Centre provides a range of health and wellbeing services to support students and their families in making informed decisions about their health, wellbeing, and development. Staffed by professionals, the Wellbeing Centre provides health support in a safe and welcoming environment.

Services include:

  • School-based immunisation programs

  • First point of contact for student health care needs

  • Referral to external health professionals when required

  • Student health and wellbeing programs

  • Health assessments, including vision, hearing, and developmental screening where needed

  • Assistance for staff and parents in developing individual health care plans for students with chronic conditions, disabilities, or complex health needs

These services help ensure students receive timely, appropriate, and coordinated health support throughout their schooling.

Ms Steph Holmes

School Psychologist

  • As the Year 10–12 Program Coordinator, Amy supports students as they navigate the final years of their schooling journey. Ms Di Broad

Community Health Nurse

  • As the Community Health Nurse, Di supports the health and wellbeing of students across the school. Her role includes providing health information, brief support, and guidance to students on a range of topics, including physical health, emotional wellbeing, healthy relationships, growth and development, and positive lifestyle choices.

    Di works closely with students, families, school staff, and external health services where appropriate. She can assist students to access reliable health advice, make informed decisions, and connect with additional support when needed. Di’s role helps promote a safe, supportive, and health-focused school environment where students are encouraged to look after their wellbeing and seek help early.
